Toshiba Launches New Satellite P700 Series Laptops

Toshiba today announced a new family of premium laptops, the Satellite® P700 Series. Available with Toshiba's textured Fusion® X2 finish in Platinum, the Satellite P745, P755/P755 3D and P775 laptops feature 14-, 15.6- and 17.3-inch diagonal HD TruBrite® LED backlit screens1, respectively. These laptops incorporate essential features for multitasking and multimedia, including latest generation of multi-core processor and technology options, plus premium entertainment and convenience features.

Premium Performance, Features and Design

Available with second-generation Intel® Core™ i3, i5 or i7 processors2 and select configurations feature NVIDIA® GeForce® GT 540M graphics3 with battery-saving Optimus™ technology or the all-new AMD® A6-3400M accelerated processing unit with discrete-class AMD Radeon® graphics, Satellite P700 Series laptops offer robust performance for demanding HD tasks. Additional standard features include premium raised tile keyboards, harman/kardon® speakers with sound enhancements from Dolby® and Waves Audio, an HDMI® port and a USB 3.0 port4 for faster data transfers and storage options up to 750GB5. The Satellite P745 (starting at $699.99 MSRP14), Satellite P755 (starting at $629.99 MSRP14) and Satellite P775 (starting at $629.99 MSRP14) will be available at major retail outlets, e-tailers and Toshibadirect.com beginning June 19, 2011.


1. Display. Any small bright dots that may appear on your display are an intrinsic characteristic of the thin film transistors manufacturing technology.

Equipped with a 15.6-inch diagonal 120Hz, 3D-ready HD TruBrite display and NVIDIA 3D Vision™ technology this laptop includes a pair of wireless active shutter glasses for out-of-the-box 3D enjoyment, plus essential components or Blu-ray 3D playback, 2D-to-3D DVD movie conversion, plus output to a 3D HDTV, the Satellite P750 3D delivers a full suite of 3D enjoyment.

2. Processor. CPU performance may vary.

3. Graphics. GPU performance may vary.

4. USB 3.0. 5Gbps is the maximum theoretical interface transfer rate per the specifications of the Universal Serial Bus 3.0. Actual transfer rate will vary depending on your system configuration and other factors.

5. Hard Disk Drive Capacity. Hard drive capacity may vary. 1 Gigabyte (GB) means 109 = 1,000,000,000 bytes using powers of 10.

6. Intel® Wireless Display. Copy protection technology, if any, associated with the content may prevent or limit viewing of content.

7. WiMAX™ wireless use requires separately purchased subscription service. Access limited to coverage area.

8. Blu-ray Disc™ Player Technology. Compatibility and/or performance issues are possible.

9. The "USB Sleep & Charge function" may not work with certain external devices even if they are compliant with the USB specification. In those cases, turn the power of the computer ON to charge the device.

10. Toshiba Sleep & Music. In this mode, the headphone jack and mute functions are disabled. The volume and sound quality will diminish as the speakers not tuned in Windows® mode. Use the volume control on your audio device to adjust sound. Audio line-in cable is not included.

11. Upconverter/Upconversion Technology (Resolution+® Technology). Viewing enhancements may vary depending upon content quality and display device capability/functionality/settings. Depending on the quality of the content, some video noise may be visible.

12. NVIDIA® 3D Vision™. Some individuals may experience health-related complications when exposed to certain 3D images. Parents should monitor and/or supervise their children's use of 3D Vision. If you or your child should experience any problem, immediately stop using 3D Vision and consult a physician. Carefully read safety instructions included with the NVIDIA 3D Vision kit and take the "User Vision Test" in the setup wizard before you or your child use 3D Vision. If you see excessive flicker in your peripheral vision, change the refresh rate of your display.

13. Toshiba Video Player 3D Technology (2D to 3D Conversion). Supported media types are Standard Definition DVD disks and selected video games when used with compatible 3D glasses. 3D effect and image quality may vary depending upon content quality and display device capability/functionality/settings. This technology does not currently support Blu-ray Disc™ format media. The 3D effect function is activated and controlled by you for your personal enjoyment of 2D home video in 3D according to your personal preference. It is not intended for unauthorized use of copyrighted works. To the extent you need to obtain permission from a right holder to view copyrighted works, it is your responsibility to obtain such permission.
