With more than five times the storage capacity of traditional DVDs, the R610's Blu-ray optical disc drive lets you play full 1080 pixel HD content, including 7.1 channel surround sound, so you can experience richer colours, beautiful rendering and perfect image and sound reproduction. You can also enjoy Blu-ray and multimedia content on the go with home theatre quality sound using the inbuilt 2 x 2 Watt stereo speakers and EDS (Enhanced Digital Sound). In addition, the R610 provides enhanced usability with a 17-key full sized numeric keypad that is the same as your desktop's, so you can easily type text, perform calculations or get great usability on your favourite games.

As one of SAMSUNG's latest generation "Touch of Colour" notebooks, the R610 advances SAMSUNG's signature style with an ultra-sleek design and a deep rose red infusion that illuminates the piano-black, glossy finish. Built to the highest specification these notebooks make a positive lifestyle statement with a touch of excellence and sophistication. Weighing just 2.8kg, this versatile notebook features state of the art Intel® Centrino® 2 processor technology and the latest Microsoft™ Windows® Vista operating system, coupled with nVIDIA's powerful GeForce 9200M series of graphics cards to deliver a complete cinematic experience on the move.

The R610 also incorporates the very latest in communications technologies, including Intel wireless LAN for super-fast internet access.
