Sony today introduced the brand new VAIO Fit laptop built with Sony’s innovative digital imaging, sound and display technologies. Alongside the new Fit laptops are enhancements to VAIO’s All-in-One Tap 20 and L Series PCs and Sony’s top-selling VAIO T Series 15 Ultrabook incorporating all around excellence in productivity and entertainment with rich touch experiences powered by Windows 8.

Sony today introduced two notebooks with Blu-ray Disc™ technology— the VAIO® NS and CS models.

“With these new units, Sony is now offering consumers a host of multi-media PC options to choose from,” said Mike Abary, senior vice president of VAIO product marketing at Sony Electronics. “And with a starting price of around $1,000 for the NS model, we’re expecting a new audience to experience HD entertainment on their computers.”

The VAIO NS notebook features an optional Blu-ray Disc-ROM drive that is ideal for viewing HD content. It also has the added convenience of DVD and CD read/write functionalities…

Sony today took the wraps off its new line of affordably-priced notebooks in chic new colors— the VAIO E Series. The E Series comes in five translucent, high-gloss colors— Caribbean Green, Iridescent Blue, Coconut White, Hibiscus Pink and Lava Black — and three matte colors — Maple Brown, Silver White and Gunmetal. Subtle patterns can be found on the lids, of the glossy models, with the palm rest mirroring the color of the PC adding a splash of brightness to the unit.

Taking personalization to the next level, Sony and Microsoft today announced a competition that challenges consumers to create designs for the lids of a new line of VAIO® Graphic Splash notebooks.
