London – 14 December, 2007 - Samsung Electronics, a global leader in consumer electronics and digital technology, today announced the introduction of its brand new ultra-sleek and high-performance 17” Widescreen notebook, the R700. With its stylish glossy black finish and great range of features, the R700 is Samsung’s latest addition to its Aura family.
This new notebook features a high contrast 17 inch widescreen and comes packed with a range of high performance features; including a dedicated NVIDIA GO 8400M GS graphics card, making it ideal for gaming and HD movies.

This combined with nVIDIA’s own ‘Pure Video 2’ processor technology delivers longer battery life. In addition to this, it has an integrated 1.3 mega pixel digital motion camera, simplifying the use of video conferencing or live messaging.
In order to deliver the highest performance possible, the R700 has the latest Intel Centrino Duo processor and incorporates the Intel PRO Wireless LAN solution to provide flexibility to work and play on the go.
Furthermore, the world of HDTV is no problem for the R700. With an integrated HDMI interface, it can be connected to high-resolution TV sets, home theatre systems or projectors, and four USB ports also allow you to connect a comprehensive selection of peripherals.
