MSI Announces The Retail Availability Of X350 And X420 New X-Slim Notebooks
MSI Computer Corp. today announced the retail availability of two new X-Slim notebooks. The 13.4" MSI X350 ultraportable notebook weighs a mere 3.31 pounds and is less than one inch thick at its widest point. The stylish 14-inch X420 is also less than one inch thick, and boasts a nine hour battery life and the performance of a discrete graphics processor. Both are equipped with the Intel® CULV energy-saving platform and use the latest Intel Core™ 2 Duo dual-core CPU.

X350: Affordable, light and slim 13” notebook
The sleek X350 features a13.4” high-def 16:9 aspect ratio LED backlit screen with 1366x768 resolution, which shows full-screen entertainment while consuming 70 percent of the power of competitors’ CCFL (Cold Cathode Fluorescent Lamps) displays.
Inside its elegant chocolate exterior, the X420 combines the performance of a discrete graphics processor with the low power usage of an integrated graphics processor to deliver superior image quality and up to nine hours of battery life.
MSI pairs the X350’s sleek exterior with high performing components. The energy efficient Intel Core 2 Duo dual-core CPU combined with an 8-cell battery provides up to long hours of computing when in ECO mode.

X420: Combines best-in-class graphics with portability and long battery life
Inside its elegant chocolate exterior, the X420 combines the performance of a discrete graphics processor with the low power usage of an integrated graphics processor to deliver superior image quality and up to nine hours of battery life.
The X420’s 14” backlit high definition display showcases breathtaking imagery powered by a DirectX® 11 compatible ATI Mobility Radeon™ 5430 HD graphics card. Partnered with MSI’s exclusive 3D Boost technology, X420 users can switch between discrete and UMA modes depending on their graphic and power consumption needs to enjoy long battery life while on the go.

Msi’s X-Slim Series
Like all of MSI’s X-Slim models, the X350 and X420 both sport a stylish, fashion forward design. The two models use MSI’s exclusive Color Film Print Technology to protect the outer frames from scratches. On the inside, both feature a 1.3M webcam, a chicklet keyboard that provides users with a firm, comfortable and accurate typing surface, as well as a multi-touch touchpad that allows for vertical scrolling, rotation, and zooming in and out for objects.
